Paul W. Fairman (1916-1977) was a science fiction and mystery story writer and editor. He was the founding editor of If magazine in 1952, and later served as the editor of Incredible Tales and Fantastic. He wrote almost a dozen books and several short tales. He used the pseudonym Ivar Jorgensen for a number of his works, which he eventually shared with Randall Garrett. Some of his stories and books have been either into films or adapted into television screenplays.
