Dalton, Tony: - Tony Dalton has worked in film and TV since 1969. Firstly at the British Film Institute, then as publicity consultant on Star Wars and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. After programming a London rep Cinema he worked for Granada TV, leaving in 1992 to concentrate on film consultancy and writing. Tony's biography of Ray Harryhausen, An Animated Life, was published in 2003, followed by 4 more books about Harryhausen. Tony's biography of Freddie Francis, The Straight Story from Moby Dick to Glory, came out in 2013. Tony was a friend of Hammer director Terence Fisher until his death in 1980.
