Therapeutic Communities for Psychosis by John Gale

Therapeutic Communities for Psychosis offers a uniquely global insight into the renewed interest in the use of therapeutic communities for the treatment of psychosis, as complementary to pharmacological treatment.

'As we used to say, the therapeutic community stands for the healthy side of the patient, which we seek to rescue and support (…) That recovery of personhood is conceived technically in a myriad of ways in all this book’s fascinating accounts of communities and approaches and theorisationsWhat appeals to me so much is the common strand of serious endeavour to put the institutions to right.' – Bob Hinshelwood, From the Foreword.

Enrico Pedriali is a physician, clinical psychologist, psychoanalytic psychotherapist and consultant in mental health institutions. He is a group analyst and past President of the Italian Association of Therapeutic Communities.
