This Way For a Shroud by James Hadley Chase
1953. First Edition. 255 pages. No dust jacket. Black cloth. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Gutters somewhat cracked with some exposed netting. Binding is firm. Foxing and tanning more noticeable towards start and end of book and on text block edges. Prices in pencil to front endpaper, partially erased. Previous owner's inscription to front pastedown obscured by black ink. p253 has several open tears to margins, not affecting text. Text block edges somewhat tanned, foxed, scratched and nicked. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Notable pale mottling and dust-marking overall. A few liquid droplet marks. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean.
