Tiger's Eye by Allison Parkinson
Zarif the tiger and the cat-loving lady are reunited in another ROARsome rhyming picture book
She has something important to say. He just wants her to go away.
Zarif thinks they're poles apart - but will he have a change of heart?
With its vibrant illustrations and laugh-out-loud verse, Tiger's Eye is the perfect sequel to Tiger Tale - and this time, the story is longer and louder
Fiendishly funny, this full-colour picture book can also be enjoyed by young readers not yet acquainted with the haughty hero.
Parkinson, Allison: - Allison Parkinson writes and illustrates children's stories - picture books and chapter books. They can be about anything - talking tigers, creepy clocks, magic carpets, favourite foods, over-enthusiastic genies and time-travelling ten-year-olds. A lot of her stories celebrate diversity. She was inspired to start writing after her daughters (who are mixed race) complained about the lack of leading characters that look like them - especially in chapter books. Tiger Tale is Allison's first published book. Allison lives with her husband and daughters in Catford, South London and she is very proud to be a Governor at Sandhurst Primary School in Catford. She was born in Jersey (a beautiful little island in the English Channel). This probably explains her life-long obsession with the sea - and her overwhelming compulsion to pick up every shell, pebble or piece of sea glass that she comes across whenever she's at the seaside!
