Contributing editor Christine France's passion for good food and her enthusiastic approach have made her one of the most versatile food and cookery experts today. Born in the heart of the countryside, Christine grew up to appreciate food at its best. This inspired her to train as a Home Economist, and after completing her training in London, her career began in Robert Carrier's food photographic studio. She later moved on to write for many top national magazines, notably as Deputy Cookery Editor of Good Housekeeping, Cookery Editor of Woman's Realm and regular contributor to BBC Good Food magazine. Since becoming freelance in 1989, Christine's varied work has included writing books (more than 20 titles), cookery features for magazines and newspapers, radio and TV broadcasting, recipe and product development, demonstrating and food styling. Christine is a member of the Guild of Food Writers, and now lives and works in Somerset, England with her husband, photographer Don Last.
