Dr Stephanie Holton is Staff Tutor and Lecturer in Classical Studies at the Open University.
She has previously taught at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and worked on several projects linked to ancient death and Roman Britain, including the award-winning outreach project Romans on the Tyne for schools in the North East. She is currently part of a research initiative which includes the collation and translation of all recorded tombstones from Roman Britain. She is passionate about bringing the lives of the ancients to a modern audience and has worked in collaboration with museums, schools and charities.
