Torts by Alastair Mullis

The previous editions of Torts were highly regarded for their clarity of explanation and engaging writing style, and this new fourth edition fully retains each of these qualities. The text has been extensively revised and updated, and there is a new chapter on privacy. The enhanced layout includes end of chapter summaries and self-test exercises and an extensive bibliography. This is therefore an ideal companion to the subject for both law undergraduates and GDL/CPE students.
'Mullis and Oliphant's textbook deconstructs this notoriously difficult subject in a way that makes it readily comprehensible and, unlike other similarly accessible textbooks, it manages to do this without glossing over the many inconsistencies in the relevant case lawTort textbooks tend to fall into two categories: the simple but basic and the advanced but dense. With this one, the reader has access to the best of both worlds.' - Dr Claire McIvor, Birmingham Law School, University of Birmingham
ALASTAIR MULLIS is Professor of Law and Head of the Law School at the University of East Anglia. He has written widely on the subject of Tort Law, particularly on the law of defamation, and he is the joint General Editor of Carter-Ruck on Libel and Privacy. KEN OLIPHANT is Director of the Institute for European Tort Law at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Vienna, and Professor of Tort Law at the University of Bristol. His many writings in the area include the revision and updating of the title on Tort for the fifth edition of Halsbury's Laws of England.
