The notion of systems has helped revolutionize translation studies since the 1970s. Theo Hermans is Professor of Dutch and Comparative Literature at University College London and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Translation at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also edits the Translation Theories Explored series at Routledge.
