Professor Franz Ruppert explores the impact of trauma on human beings and considers the structure and functioning of the psyche, and how traumas influence psychological functioning.Professor Dr. Franz Ruppert is a psychologist at the Munich University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Since 1995, he has specialized in psychotherapeutic treatment, with a particular focus on the aetiology of severe mental diseases. He received his PhD in Work and Organizational Psychology from the Technical Universität of Munich in 1985. As a result, he's been studying attachment mechanisms and trauma, as well as the effects of early traumatization on the newborn. Verwirrte Seelen (Confused Souls, not accessible in English), followed by four volumes translated from German to English: Trauma, Bonding, and Family Constellations: Understanding and Healing Injuries of the Soul (2008), Splits in the Soul: Integrating Traumatic Experiences (2011), and Symbiosis & Autonomy: Symbiotic Trauma and Love Beyond Entanglements (20).
