Karen has put together a great no-nonsense narrative examining the potentials and pitfalls of self-employment and the entrepreneurial dream. She advocates a change to the way we push ourselves (to exhaustion) to build a business we can be proud of and that sustains our life, family and fun times. At a time when technology is supposed to be helping us not hindering us, Karen shows us how to cut the madness, to lean back, face our inner fears and self-doubt, stop comparing ourselves to others, reground our true motivations and tune into our creativity and natural flow. It’s all common sense we too easily forget in our busy day to days. The book provides the strategic guidance and practical exercises to navigating the business building process.
As a business owner who has been on a similar journey juggling life challenges, health challenges and business challenges, I wish I’d had this wisdom and practical guidance years ago instead of resolving it all alone.
