A novel involving the stories of four women, all living on the same Greater Manchester council estate, unemployed, poor, alone and alienated. Each one has her own strategy for survival, although their lives are interleaved to reveal the recurring experiences in an infinite cycle of desperation.
Livi Michael was born in 1960. She lives near Manchester with the poet Ian Pople and her two sons.
