Lily Collins has been involved in the entertainment industry since she was a toddler. Lily made her cinematic debut in the Academy Award-nominated picture The Blind Side in 2009, and her work in Warren Beatty's Rules Don't Apply earned her a Golden Globe nomination in 2016. Mirror Mirror, The English Teacher, Stuck in Love, The Mortal Instruments, Love, Rosie, To the Bone, Okja, and Halo of Stars are among her previous ventures. Lily also has a penchant for journalism, which she found while working for ELLE Girl UK at the age of fifteen. Subsequently, she worked as a contributing editor for CosmoGirl and the Los Angeles Times Magazine, reporting on the 2008 presidential election for Nickelodeon and covering the Democratic and Republican National Conventions in a Seventeen magazine blog.

From high school, when she studied to be a teen therapist, Lily has worked to empower young people to utilize their voices. She has participated in national events in recent years aimed at inspiring today's youth to band together and speak up. Lily's first book, Unfiltered, is her first published work.
