Vancouver by Matthew Gardner

This pocket format guide covers Vancouver city, area by area, getting to grips with the many different neighbourhoods and attractions. Written by two enthusiasts, the guide is full of ideas and information about making the most of your time in this city that offers so much. From exploring the contemporary city scene to accessible adventures in the wild, it is for those who want to discover more. In addition to the city itself, there is coverage of the Sunshine Coast, the Sea to Sky Highway, Victoria, skiing in Whistler, climbing and hiking in the coastal mountains and sailing and diving in the Southern Gulf Islands. The book also includes wide-ranging restaurant and eating recommendations and full coverage of Vancouver's beach scene, parks and festivals.
Matthew Gardner graduated from Bristol University and Goldsmith College, London and was a French teacher for two years before leaving to write a novel. He caught the travel bug instead, and has spent most of the last eight years travelling the world, including two years in Latin America, where he added Spanish to his fluent French. Alison has lived in many parts of Western Canada. She studied Fine Art and Photography in Vancouver and now lives in Slocom Valley, BC and continues to travel extensively.
