British artist, designer and inventor Dominic Wilcox lived a perfectly normal life in the north east of England until the age of 19. Since then he has read the dictionary, twice, battled against a 3D printer at the V&A Museum and shown his odd, surprising and thought-provoking designs at galleries around the world.
After graduating from the Royal College of Art in London he set about creating things that made him feel happy, excited and intrigued. His innovative work has become known internationally for its playful yet understated style, regularly solving problems people hadn't previously realised they had.
Notable works include: 'No Place Like Home' GPS shoes that guide the wearer to their desired destination, and miniature sculptures balanced on the moving hands of watches.
