Strings Magazine, June 2013
It is a book to be read and re-read...It does say that it is an 'inspirational guide for instrumental and singing teacher', but it is also excellent for those employing such teachers. It would also be excellent for class music specialists to read to gain insight into excellent instrumental and singing teaching. Why limit something so good?.
Jackey Birch, SMA Guild of Adjudicators & Workshop Presenters
This is a book which all teachers of whatever instrument should read. The book contains a mine of information and sheer common sense. I know Paul to be a wonderful teacher and he should be encouraged to run courses which would be extremely useful and beneficial to aspiring teachers.
Kit Shepherd, Director (National Youth Wind Orchestra of Great Britain)
The Virtuoso Teacher wears its considerable knowledge and inslight lightly, and is the antidote to other hefty tomes on music education....and is undoubtedly a must-read for any enlightened instrumental or vocal teacher.
