Walking with Wildness by Peter Wright

The first and only guide to walking the watershed of Scotland, covering all 745 miles with a selection of 26 routes to walk in a day or two.

A remarkable and incredible journey which others most surely want to tackle - STV

Peter Wright has done lovers of wild places a great service in providing the first comprehensive description of the Watershed. - THE GREAT OUTDOORS on Ribbon of Wildness

In this new work, the final walk, takes the watershed northwards and is set on Orkney. The wilderness of Scotland offers something special to walkers, nature-lovers and indeed, to any thoughtful, reflective human-beings. - LOTHIAN LIFE

PETER WRIGHT left school aged 14 and, after a year at Newbattle Abbey College, pursued a career in Community Education and youth work in Scotland. He has an extensive commitment to the voluntary sector, especially in founding or assisting in the development of new initiatives, including being the co-founder of the John Muir Award within the John Muir Trust and the founder of Youth in Trust within the National Trust for Scotland. Peter lives near Edinburgh with his wife. He has three children and a granddaughter. He has walked the entire watershed of Scotland.
