A Wandering of Gypsies by Tom Mccready
Tom and Julie McCready are Romany Gypsies who travelled at one time but after the birth of their children went onto legal sites. The first volume of their autobiography deals with their childhood during and after the War and with their teenage years, eventually meeting and marrying. The book ends with their marriage and is teken up in the second volum.

Tom died of cancer several years ago and is much missed by his family and numerous friends. Julie lives on a legal site but is now elderly and infirm. Tom was largely self taught in reading and writing and was very involved at one time in the education of Gypsy Travellers, pushing for provision to be made to get them into school. Julie had no education but Tom was largely responsible for teaching her. Sadly, Julie has since died.
