The 44th US Armored Infantry Division followed a preimptive thermonuclear strike, crossed the Rio Grande, and advanced on Mexico. North Korea invaded South Korea, and China began an amphibious assault on Taiwan. Russia without warning nuked Pyongyang.

Global ice, ethnic riots, savage cannibalism, and the four horsemen of the Apocalypse interrupt the routine lives of lawyer Sandra Lerner and friends. Maria and Sandra get married in Hong Kong. Jerrry Billings goes down in helicopter crash. Dirk moves in with Evon, and Li Chen announces she's with child.

Dr. George W. Barclay Jr. MD FACC is a retired Medical Cardiologist, Chemical Engineer, and US Army Officer. He served as trial council on a military court at Fort McClelland Alabama (1956 and 1957).
