
Adam Langer is the author of the books Crossing California, The Washington Story, Ellington Boulevard, and The Thieves of Manhattan, as well as the memoir My Father's Bonus March. He was born and reared in Chicago. His work has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, the Huffington Post, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the Washington Post, among other media. He has appeared on CNN, Fox, and NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered, among other radio and television shows. A large collection of his papers was recently purchased by the Chicago Public Library. He is the former senior editor of Book Magazine and is now the Jewish Daily Forward's arts and culture editor. Langer, his wife Beate, his kids Nora and Solveig, and their dog Kazoo live in New York City.
