Weekend Crochet for Babies by Sue Whiting
Crochet is a traditional needlecraft that is easy-to-learn and can produce a range of different effects, from chunky textured fabric to delicate lacy patterns. This makes it suitable for creating clothes for babies. This work features designs that include classic sweaters and tops, a duffle coat, a lacy cardigan, and even some cute toys.
Sue Whiting is a needlecraft design consultant and author who works with a number of textile companies to produce brochures, booklets and promotional materials. Her clients include Jaeger and Rowan Handknitting. She trained at the London School of Fashion and has worked with numerous magazines and publishers on all aspects of needlework. She has written several needlework books, including Take up Crochet. She lives in Shipley, West Yorkshire.
