Western Canada Handbook by Matthew Gardner
Introducing British Columbia, including Vancouver, Vancouver Island, the Rockies, Alberta and the Yukon, this guide offers detailed information on accommodation, eco-tourism, sport-based holidays and wildlife viewing, as well as routes off the beaten track.
Matthew Gardner graduated from Bristol University and Goldsmith College, London and was a French teacher for two years before leaving to write a novel. He caught the travel bug instead, and has spent most of the last eight years travelling the world, including two years in Latin America, where he added Spanish to his fluent French. Alison has lived in many parts of Western Canada. She studied Fine Art and Photography in Vancouver and now lives in Slocom Valley, BC and continues to travel extensively.
