What Wesley Wore by Samuel Langley-Swain
Inspired by the author's own childhood traumas, this inclusive story promotes acceptance and empathy with a gender-fluid, fashion-loving weasel Wesley, through themes of difference and diversity and a deep exploration of bullying from all sides.
A heart-warming story with a focus on acceptance and a message that it's ok to be different - @alittlesnippet on Instagram ; A story with a very clear message... its OK to be YOU - @happy_me_happy_you_ on Instagram ; A book all about acceptance and recognising that we are all worthy of respect and kindness, no matter how we choose to express ourselves. I adored this one, it has such an important message and is filled with heart! - @sharing.the.shelf on Instagram
Founder of Owlet Press, Sam's world changed in 2014 when he became a Dad. Having never thought of writing books, he was dramatically inspired by his children and the new universe he'd entered into. His book What Wesley Wore has now been translated all over the world.
"I self-published my first book in September 2017 and sold over 7,000 copies in the first 12 weeks. As I toured the book it became important to me to be able to create positive change for children through stories, working with new authors who have the same beliefs as I do."
