Teffanie Thompson is a writer who specializes in stories for children, teenagers, and ballerinas. She currently serves as the principal of a public charter high school. Her novel DIRT was named best YA at the 2016 African-American Literary Awards, which were hosted at the New York Public Library's Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. Teffanie and her organic farmer husband live in Texas. She enjoys being outside, hula hooping, and binge-watching streamed television when she is not writing.
