Wild About Dolphins by Davies Nicola
A thrilling insight into the lives of the most magical creatures in the world! Zoologist Nicola Davies is wild about dolphins. She's sailed on expeditions to Newfoundland and to the Indian Ocean looking for them. She's seen many different species and found out lots of fascinating things about them: how they breathe, how they jump so high, how they look after their babies...Beautifully written and with stunning photographs and helpful explanations, this amazing account charts her experiences on various research trips and will capture the imaginations of children and adults alike.
Nicola Davies has been fascinated by the natural world since she was very young. Graduating from King's College, Cambridge with an honours degree in zoology, she went on to become a television and radio presenter (she is perhaps best known as the presenter of The Really Wild Show), writer and producer. She also lectures on natural history on cruise ships, and over the last few years this has enabled her to travel all over the world. Amongst her books for children are three other Walker titles: Big Blue Whale, One Little Turtle and Bat Loves the Night. Nicola lives in Devon with her husband and their two children.
