Wild Persistence by Katrina Naomi

Katrina Naomi’s poetry collection, Wild Persistence, written after a move from London to Cornwall, considers distance and closeness, and questions how to live. She dissects ‘dualism’ and arrival, sex and dance, a trip to Japan. There is a strong section of poems about the aftermath of an attempted rape. Her voice is convincing and contemporary.
Katrina is an award-winning poet, performer, mentor and judge. Her new collection, ‘Battery Rocks’, is due from Seren in July 2024. Katrina’s poetry collections have won an Authors’ Foundation Award and Saboteur Award, and she is a recipient of the Keats-Shelley Prize. Katrina’s poetry has appeared on Poems on the Underground, BBC Radio 4’s Front Row and Poetry Please, and in The TLS, The Poetry Review and Modern Poetry in Translation. She has a PhD from Goldsmiths, tutors for Arvon and the Poetry Society, and chairs the Society of Authors’ Poetry and Spoken Word Group. Katrina lives in Cornwall.
