Winning Blackjack Without Counting Cards by David S Popik
David S. Popik has played Blackjack from his Army days to the present. In the service he was a fairly consistent loser during his early days of play. Gradually, he honed his skills, observed the playing of thousands of hands and, as he explains in this book, developed a basic stratagem for play. The skills he learned in Army play served him well in professional games in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. The basic tenets of play apply to all casinos, but the emphasis in this book is directed towards successful play in the Atlantic City casinos where the use of eight decks is mandatory. The author believes that the player must be bound by specific recommended rules as surely as the dealer is bound by house rules. The dealer must draw to 16 and stand on 17. Mr. Popik's advice does not involve counting but offers a basic strategy which must be observed. This is a book both for the casual player and the expert and advanced player for whom winning is a very serious business indeed. Book jacket.| SKU | Unavailable |
