Joan Reeder Babcock lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and is a fiber artist, award-winning jewelry designer, teacher, and author. Since 1988, Joan has been making one-of-a-kind jewelry and textile art. Her work has been published in Ornament, Beadwork, Bead and Button publications, as well as various bead design books, and her unique style of fiber, bead, and metal jewelry showcases the technique of Cavandoli knotting. She began teaching nationally in 2004 and in October 2005, she published her first book, Micro-Macrame Jewelry, Tips & Techniques for Knotting with Beads.
