This is a big fat book containing a whole alphabet of poets. It features 250 poems, each by a different poet - some very much alive and some not, some very well-known indeed and some not - all arranged alphabetically by poet. It has lots of new poems in it and we have tried to feature less well-known gems by big names. This is a gorgeous book full of delights that you will want to dip into time and time again.
Paul Cookson spends most of his time visiting schools, performing his poetry and helping children to write their own poems. He is also a freelance illustrator specializing in cartoons. He lives in Retford, Notts. Paul has compiled several books for Macmillan, including LET'S TWIST AGAIN, WHO RULES THE SCHOOL, UNZIP YOUR LIPS, THE WORKS and THE WORKS 3. He also has his own collection, GIVE US A GOAL! He supports Everton.
