The World of KS3 Geography by Adam Arnell
The next 10 books of the new range ("The World Of..."), following on from the first 8 titles. They cover core curriculum topics in KS3 English, Maths, Science, French, geography and history. Ideas are placed within the context of real-life scenarios to make the topics relevant and interesting. At Year 7, the contexts are introduced by four characters, whilst at Year 8 and 9 they use real-life examples to make the topics relevant and memorable. This approach reflects the emphasis in schools towards more contextualized-learning, i.e. learning about things within a relevant situation. Engaging, full-colour, content-rich spreads also include 'top tips' and 'did you know' features at Year 7. At Year 8 there are 'top tip' and 'key fact' panels and in year 9 there are 'examiner's tips' and 'key fact' features to help students prepare for their SATs.
