World War Two: Timeline of the Second World War by Simon Adams

World War Two is a series of fact-packed books on key aspects of the Second World War. Each title offers an appealing, magazine-style design and contains readable narrative text plus panels focusing on personalities, events, weapons, documents and other background information. Also included are mini timelines that highlight the dates of important events to keep a clear chronological picture in readers' minds. Timeline of the Second World War looks at the causes, course and consequences of the war, from the Treaty of Versailles in 1919 to the dropping of the atomic bombs on Japan in 1945.

Simon Adams was born in Bristol and studied at London and Bristol universities. He then worked as an editor of children's reference books before becoming a full-time writer 18 years ago. He has written for many major children`s publishers including Dorling Kindersley and Kingfisher. His work for Watts includes titles in the Citizen Guides, Flashpoints, World War One and World War Two series as well as, most recently, Countries in the News.
