Writing the World by Judith Kitchen

An excellent introduction for readers coming to Stafford for the first time and a valuable overview of the work for the many readers already familiar with his poetry, this book offers the best single guide to one of the most respected and celebrated poets of our time.

Perennials, Writing the World: Understanding William Stafford, The House on Eccles Street, Just the Dance, and The Circus Train were among the many books written by JUDITH KITCHEN. In addition, she published or coedited four nonfiction collections: In Short, In Brief, Short Takes, and The Poets Guide to the Birds. Two Pushcart Prizes for essays, the Lillian Fairchild Award for fiction, the Anhinga Prize for poetry, and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship have all been bestowed upon her. In 2014, she passed away.
