YOUth&I Issue 4 by Steph Lum

YOUth&I is an anthology of creative works by young intersex people from around the world. Intersex people, or people born with variations in sex characteristics, are born with bodies that are different from typically male or female bodies. We are often misunderstood-told by others who we are, what our desires are and what we will want in the future. These things are assumed about us and then our bodies are changed for us. This issue's theme, 'Grow', captures this idea of learning and change. Learning about who we are, that other people like us exist, and learning from our experiences and those of intersex people around us to grow in new, and sometimes unexpected, ways. This anthology contains poems, short essays, drawings and other artworks. By sharing our stories, we make intersex people visible. YOUth&I is based in Australia and is published under newly formed Orchid Paper Press.
