About Adam Scott

Adam D. Scott is an engineering manager, web developer, and educator based in Connecticut. He currently works as the web development lead at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, where he focuses on building open source tools. Additionally, he has worked in education for over a decade, teaching and writing curriculum on a range of technical topics. He is the author of WordPress for Education (Packt, 2012), the Introduction to Modern Front-End Development video course (O'Reilly 2015), the Ethical Web Development report series (O'Reilly 2016-2017), and JavaScript Everywhere (O'Reilly 2020).Matthew MacDonald is a science and technology writer with dozens of books to his name. Over the years, he's written about programming, web design, and nature's weirdest computing tool-the human brain. These days he's exploring quirky content for kids, including a free interactive guide for learning to write JavaScript. Shelley Powers has been working with, and writing about, web technologies--from the first release of JavaScript to the latest graphics and design tools--for more than 17 years.
