About Albert Blankert

Gilles Aillaud (1928-2005) was a famed French painter, theatre decorator, and playwright. Albert Blankert is an esteemed scholar of the art of Vermeer and 17th century Dutch painting, a curator, and the author of Rembrandt: A Genius and His Impact. John Michael Montias (1928-2005) was an economics professor at Yale and one of the foremost scholars on Vermeer's life and works.
