Believing that medicine is a service to life she led students into the field of service medicine by hosting and recruiting students for monthly spay and neuter clinics for Dane county friends of feral, providing volunteers for local humane societies, leading weeklong service trips to Best friend Animal sanctuary, Heifer International ranch in Arkansas, The everglades outpost, spirit horse program in South Dakota and numerous sled dog races across the Midwest for over 20 years. Her joy is helping veterinary technicians use their skills to serve animals and the people who love them.
