Julie Schwartz Gottman, Ph.D., is the Co-Founder and President of The Gottman Institute. A highly respected clinical psychologist, she is sought internationally by media and organizations as an expert advisor on marriage, domestic violence, gay and lesbian adoption, same-sex marriage, and parenting issues. She is the co-author with John Gottman of 10 Principles for Doing Effective Couples Therapy and The Science of Couples and Family Therapy, and editor of The Marriage Clinic Casebook. John M. Gottman, PhD, is William Mifflin Professor of Psychology at the University of Washington in Seattle. World-renowned for his work on marital stability and divorce prediction, Dr. Gottman has conducted 40 years of breakthrough research with thousands of couples. He is the author of over two dozen books, including the bestseller 10 Principles for Doing Effective Couples Therapy, The Science of Couples and Family Therapy, The Science of Trust, and The Marriage Clinic. Noted neuropsychiatrist Daniel J.
