Managing Risk in Sport and Recreation Summary

Managing Risk in Sport and Recreation: The Essential Guide for Loss Prevention by Katharine M. Nohr

"Managing Risk in Sport and Recreation" is an easy to read guide to safety and lawsuit prevention. Complete with in-bound CD-ROM containing tips and strategies for lawsuit prevention, environment and safety checklists, documentation strategies and sample forms. The fear of litigation arising out of injuries that can occur anywhere - in recreation facilities, on and off the field and in outdoor environments - can add salt to the proverbial wound of an avoidable accident. Managing risk is key to presenting successful and safe sports, fitness and outdoor activities and events. This comprehensive reference is for sport, recreation and teaching staff and professionals in schools, parks, recreation, leisure and non-profit organisations to help meet their organisation's risk management expectations. Coaches, administrators, instructors, officials, facility managers and staff will be safe in the knowledge that their clients are being well looked after and that they themselves are protected in the event of any mishap.
