The First Easter Summary

The First Easter by Lois Rock

This book tells the story of the last week of Jesus's life, simply and straightforwardly faithful to the biblical accounts of his death and resurrection. The charming illustrations by Sophie Allsopp respectfully complement the great story, adding detail and warmth that will be appreciated by adult and child alike. This little hardback is a beautiful but very accessible presentation of the Easter story, which makes a thoughtful little gift.

The First Easter Reviews

'Lion have yet again come up with a gem. Soulful simplicity and sympathetic illustrations make The First Easter a pleasure and relief to read to a young child.' * www.surefish.co.uk (Christian Aid) *

About Lois Rock

LOIS ROCK has established an international reputation as a children's writer. Specialising in Bible stories, prayer books, and information books, her books have been translated into over 30 languages with sales of 4 million copies. Sophie Allsopp spent her childhood endlessly painting, sewing, cutting, and sticking - basically making stuff all the time (except when she was exploring). She studied for an illustration degree in Bath, then set up an illustration business with help from the Prince's Youth Business Trust, which has flourished with a wide range of clients ever since. In her spare time she still makes stuff - jewellery, dresses and needle felting (amongst other things!)
