Angel and Winter are now apprentices to wise old veteran of time-travel, Pye. Angel has almost forgotten her 'other life' - the past seems a distant memory. But when she receives news that her mother, Soho, has mysteriously disappeared, Angel feels a tug on her heart. And when she, Winter and Pye discover that Soho is just one in spate of universal kidnappings, they know they must search for Soho, and for whoever is behind the disappearances. Clever calculation finally leads them to a weird, disney-land like country dominated by a vast fairytale castle on a hill. Inside the castle, they find Soho, and her captor: a 12 year old child prodigy - who has lived for over 400 years! This evil genius has more than kidnappings on her agenda, she plans to take over the universe! If she isn't stopped, this sugary-sweet 'child' could engineer the destruction of the galaxy and of all living things . . .
