About 1500 words are tested in a variety of ways that include mulitiple-choice questions and sentence completion in such areas as verbs, adjectives, synonyms, phrasal verbs, idioms and homophones. An answer key is provided together with a list of dictionaries for further research. The book is aimed at students studying for the Cambridge Proficiency and can also be used in the classroom for self-study. About 50 tests are included.
