Maritime Nonsense Summary

Maritime Nonsense: And Other Aquatic Absurdities by Simon Drew

If you've ever wanted to say Halo Sailor to someone wandering along the quayside, this book will show you how. If you've ever wondered where the Lost Ark went, then Maritime Nonsense will introduce you to the Waders of the Lost Ark. You will find profound poems, such as A lion B hind C lions. This work has never been published before (and will probably never be published again). It's not very often that a book of this nature appears on our bookshelves; it's not very often that sailors find such a manual packed with useful information. If you want to know what to take on a long voyage this book will tell you. Have you ever wondered where to go to find a Tern on a Tap? How would you cook Mole Mariniere? All these questions must be answered. This isn't the book to do it.

About Simon Drew

Simon Drew lives in Dartmouth, England, with his wife, Caroline, and his dog, Rabbit. He works mainly in pen and ink, making fiendishly inventive drawings of everyday objects, birds and animals embellished with devious rhymes and word play. His work is widely acclaimed and exhibited, and is already the subject of fifteen books. Drew's designs are also incorporated into a wide variety of stationery and accessories ranging from cards, mugs, t-shirts and aprons.
