About Suzanne R. Kunkel

Suzanne R. Kunkel, PhD is the director of Scripps Gerontology Center and Professor in the Department of Sociology and Gerontology at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Dr. Kunkel has 20 years of experience in research and teaching in gerontology and is the recipient of the 2006 Outstanding Gerontology Educator Award.||James Scott Brown, PhD, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology and Gerontology, and a Fellow of Scripps Gerontology Center, Miami University, OH. He is a graduate from Duke University at both Masters and Doctoral levels. His peer-reviewed articles have appeared in such professional journals as Social Science Research, Sociological Perspective, Research on Aging, Journal of Gerontology, Demography, and is a chapter author in the International Handbook of the Demography of Aging (forthcoming- Springer), and encyclopedia entry author in Encyclopedia of Research Design (forthcoming-Sage), and Encyclopedia of Health and Aging (2007-Sage).
