Learn how to draw facial features and body parts, before being guided through unique and inspiring portraits one step at a time.This is a really nice book for someone who has never drawn Manga style people, and animals, beforeIt was a nice surprise to find the little section on animals in the back as I hadn't realised that they were there. It contains instructions for full size and chibi people. The pages are colour coded so it's quick to find the section you want. I particularly like the sections on eyes and faces as I've never been great at faces, the instructions are simple, clear and concise. My nine year old enjoyed the book as well although it was a little on the harder side for him but he had a good go and managed a decent looking bird. It's chock full of info though. Well worth the money!

After graduating from The Royal College of Art, London, she focused on creating shoujo manga designs. She is the author of manga such as Moonlight, collected in The Mammoth Book of Best New Manga III, published by Constable & Robinson, which was shortlisted in the Manga Jiman competition that aims to promote manga creating talent in the UK.
Chie also attends many manga-related events around the world, and runs manga workshops at schools, libraries and museums including The British Museum, The British Library, Wellcome Collection and the V&A Museum.
