100 Hikes in Washington's North Cascades National Park Region by Ira Spring

For decades, outdoor enthusiasts have been inspired by photographer and writer IRA SPRING'S clear, beautiful photos of the Northwest wilderness. More than forty books about the outdoors bear his unique signature, including Mountaineers Books' An Ice Ax, A Camera, and A Jar of Peanut Butter. Ira Spring was also one of the first contributors to the series of 100 Classic Hikes. Spring received the 1992 Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Award for his volunteer efforts toward trail preservation and funding. He is one of the Northwest's most active trail lobbyists.
