Artist trading cards, commonly called ATCs, are mini works of art. They are extremely popular among artists of all sorts - quilters, mixed-media and collage artists, doll makers - who trade and share them with others. Each is the size of a playing card, and are often created as limited editions. The backside lists the artist's name and contact information. 1000 Artist Trading Cards is a brilliant and exciting compendium of these personal, miniature artworks, collected and compiled by the editor-in-chief of Cloth Paper Scissors and Quilting Arts Magazine. Patricia Bolton is editor-in-chief of Quilting Arts Magazine, which she founded in 2000. In 2004 she and her husband launched a second publication, Cloth Paper Scissors. When she's not attending quilt shows or mixed-media exhibits, she can be found puttering in her studio or clicking away on her keyboard in Stow, Massachusetts.
