1950s TV Stars Memory Lane by Hugh Morrison

This 40 page book is aimed at patients with early stage dementia who like reading but find it hard to follow 'normal' books.

With large print, short easy-to-follow descriptions and plenty of illustrations (black and white), the book looks at the famous US TV stars and shows of the 1950s, including 'I Love Lucy', 'The Phil Silvers Show', 'Dragnet' and 'The Twilight Zone'.

The book is intended to help stimulate long-term memories and promote conversations with relatives or carers. It does not mention dementia or memory loss, or anything that could cause distress or embarrassment to patients, and it is written in a simple but not childish style.

It can equally be enjoyed by those without memory loss, for example, grandparents reading together with grandchildren to help them learn about TV in the 'old days'.

Please note this book is about US TV shows only and does not include British shows.
Morrison, Hugh: - Hugh is an experienced engineer who has worked on a wide range of structures; from spacecraft to stadia; from glass staircases to residential properties. He maintains a practice in the UK, never having moved fully from the design office to the boardroom. Many of the examples in this book are projects on which he has been involved in his 30 year career.
