Nicole Mortillaro is a reporter for Global News and is from Toronto, Ontario. She spent ten years as a children's book editor, specialising on hockey and non-fiction books before becoming a journalist. Nicole is the author of Willie O'Ree: The Tale of the NHL's First Black Player, Hockey Trailblazers, Jarome Iginla: How the NHL's First Black Captain Gives Back, and Something to Prove: The Story of Hockey Tough man Bobby Clarke, among others.
