Jim Supica is the Director of the National Rifle Association's National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, Virginia. He's written or co-written a number of firearms books, essays, and editorials, including The Illustrated History of Guns, 2nd Edition. He has worked as a guns dealer, consultant, appraiser, and expert witness, and has been on television as a firearms expert. Supica is a past president of the Smith & Wesson Collectors Association and the Missouri Valley Arms Collectors Association, as well as a member of the NRA Board of Directors. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a Juris Doctorate and a bachelor's degree.
