Udo is a retired physician living aloha in idyllic Del Mar, California with his wife Aleida and their son Paolo Cabo. He serves as a volunteer on the Executive Committee for Surfrider Foundation where he is the liaison to the S.T.O.P. Coastal Climate Impacts Committee. He trained under Nobel Peace Prize Winner Former Vice President Al Gore for the Climate Reality Project. His favorite things to do include surfing, running, mountain biking, camping, and watching silly sitcoms with his family to end the day on a fun note. Udo grew up on the Great South Bay, which lies between his hometown of Sayville, Long Island and Fire Island, New York
